Frank O. Baker, 96, of Kingsland passed away on January 9, 2021 in Kingsland, Texas.

Frank was born December 27, 1924 in Plainview, Texas as the only child to E.F. Baker and Kyle 0. Baker. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1943, served three years in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and received a BBA from Baylor University in 1949. Frank and Barbara Jeane Goode married in Plainview on June 14, 1949.

Frank was a land man for Phillips Petroleum, owned a Security and Abstract Company in Plainview, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rites, and was a Deacon of the Baptist Church. As a faithful member of his church, he also served on numerous committees. After retirement, Frank and Barbara traveled and were able to provide support to missionaries throughout the United States for 10 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years, Barbara; his children, Bonnie Morse (Steve) of San Marcos, Beverly Tyler (Marvin) of Cary, N.C., Brenda Baker of Kingsland, and Bethany Wilcox (Ron) of Canyon Lake; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
