Body

Jerry Watson was the beloved husband of Jill and father of three children, Jay of Austin, Texas, JT of Houston, Texas and Jenna of Marble Falls, Texas. He was the brother of Cindy Winters of Seymour, Tennessee, Cheri Brown of Vanderpool, Texas, and Tommy Watson of Boerne, Texas and son of Catherine Droby Watson of Marble Falls, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Watson.

Jerry attended Southwest Texas University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He then rushed the prestigious fraternity of Phi Delta Theta in the Fall of ‘79 where he later served as both the chapter president and a short stint as Council President of the university’s IFC.

After college, Jerry purchased a home on lake LBJ in 1988 where he fell in love with the small town of Marble Falls. After many summers on the lake, he eventually moved his family within the Marble Falls city limits where he jumped right into serving his community. Jerry dedicated over 20 years volunteer coaching youth sports, not only for his three children, but also many generations to follow. Nothing put a bigger smile on his face than watching and influencing the youth around him, on and off the field.

Jerry had a tremendous impact on many young men and women. Anyone who knew him benefited from his fun-loving, decent, kind and helpful ways. Jerry is remembered for his contagious laugh, outgoing personality, and always-welcoming home. He is loved and mourned by many.
