LaMonda Burton Whitley, 92, of Spicewood, passed from this earth February 6, 2021.

She was born January 31, 1929, in Spicewood, to James and Alta Burton, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, J.V. “Chip” Whitley.

LaMonda, salutatorian of her Marble Falls High School class, retired with her husband back to Spicewood after 35 years with the Texas State Health Department. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Comstock and son Lonnie Whitley. She has 3 grandsons: John Comstock and wife Tasha, Cory Comstock and wife Leslie and Laine Whitley and wife Britteny. She has 4 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter and 3 great-great grandsons. She is also survived by 1 sister, Jimmie Bible and her husband Darrell. She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Fall Creek Cemetery in Spicewood. Pastor Albert Lopez will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Laine Whitley, John Comstock, Cory Comstock, Eugene Bible, Gavin Bible, Bret Bible and Pat Burleson.
