Maryetta “Mike” Williams, age 84, peacefully passed away in her home on March 31, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on August 13, 1936, in Delta, Colorado, to Henry Simon Willis and Elsie May (Hyatt) Willis. Mike attended Delta High School and graduated and married Donald Floyd Hinton in 1954. They had two children, David Wayne Hinton and Terrie Lynn Hinton, and divorced in 1965. On March 24, 1972, she married Ike O. Williams, Jr. and had one daughter, Pamela Susan Williams.

She has been preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Paul L. Willis, husband Ike Williams, and daughter Terrie Hinton. She is survived by her son and daughter, David and Pamela, and three grandchildren — Mary, Camilla, Gabriel — whom she loved and influenced deeply.

Mike moved to Marble Falls in 1977 and retired from Willis and Associates in Marble Falls after 17 years of service. Mike loved to help people who were least in a position to help themselves. She has been active in Delta Zeta Sorority for almost 40 years and volunteered at the Marble Falls Helping Center for 17 years.

Mike will always be remembered for her love of cats and classical music, and her tremendous sense of charity, equity and fairness.

The family is grateful to the tremendous people at New Century Hospice for the remarkable care received in these past weeks. Thank you to the many family members and friends that are supporting the family through this time, particularly Mrs. Patsy Gray, the ladies of Delta Zeta Sorority, and Kevin and Libby Holder and family.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Mike Williams on Monday, April 5, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Highway 281 North, Marble Falls.

A graveside service will also be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Berry’s Creek Cemetery (north of Georgetown).
