February 21, 1953 — December 1, 2019

William (Bill) Earl Grubbs passed away Dec. 1, 2019 at home, after almost three decades of battling Parkinson's Disease. He was born Feb. 21, 1953 in Akron, Ohio to Theodore Joseph Grubbs and Anna Knapman Grubbs.

Bill lived his first 32 years in Huntsburg, Ohio, where he built his first house and was a concrete plant manager. In 1985, he moved to Marble Falls, Texas, where he was a business owner, general contractor and was involved in Scouts and Little League.

He was a man of faith, kind and generous and was always there to help any way he could. Every day was a gift, to be made the best of and celebrated and his happy and positive attitude was proof of this.

Participating in and watching all kinds of sports was also a passion of Bill’s, especially golfing, fishing, playing dominoes and watching the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. He looked forward to barbecues, ice cream and ginger ale, getting together with family and friends, and his weekly day of fun with his Wesley Respite Friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Keener Grubbs of Marble Falls, Texas; son, James Grubbs (Amanda) of Marble Falls, Texas; daughter, Lisanne Welch of Austin, Texas; granddaughters, Lindy Grubbs and Joy Grubbs of Marble Falls, Texas. Also surviving are his siblings, Roger Grubbs (Theresa) of Cape Coral, Florida, James Grubbs (Teresita) of Marble Falls, Texas, Linda Watson (Dean) of Middlefield, Ohio, Marsha Nichols (Shawn) of Kingsland, Texas, and Daniel Grubbs (Stephanie) of Liberty Hill, Texas.

The family would like to express a special thanks to good friend, Guy Nelson, and to Patty Lackey, Michelle Uhing, New Century Hospice and Clements-Wilcox.

The family invites everyone, near and far, to join them in remembering all the good Bill left behind and release a balloon, raise a glass, share a memory or just take a moment from wherever you are on Feb. 21, 2020.
