Body
The Marble Falls High School Theatre performed Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility on Thursday, Oct. 28, Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1. Sense and Sensibility is a novel by Jane Austen, published in 1811, likely set in southwest England, London and Sussex in the late 1700s. The novel tells the story of the Dashwood sisters, 19-year-old Elinor and 16-year-old Marianne as they come of age. They have an older half-brother, John, and a younger sister, Margaret, 13. The novel follows the three Dashwood sisters as they must move with their widowed mother from the estate on which they grew up, Norland Park. Because Norland is passed down to John, the product of their mother's first marriage, the four Dashwood women must find a new home. In their sojourn, they experience romance and heartbreak.
