First Baptist Christian school students pray over city officials

First Baptist Christian School honored first responders and city leaders on the 100th Day of School recently.

The event, which also coincided with National School Choice Week, was marked by the students also paying homage to various community officials.

Students, participated in a series of visits and were able to pray over individuals, groups and couples, including the mayor and his wife, Richard and Cheryl Westerman.

Officials with the private faith-based school encouraged the children pray for God to give the leaders wisdom and courage while also listening to Lord for guidance.
