Even thought Christmas has come and gone, families can still celebrate the season for the next several days at local lighting displays and other holiday venues.

Marble Falls Presented by the Marble Falls/Highland Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Walkway of Lights will be open nightly in Lakeside Park through Dec. 31 on the shoreline of Lake Marble Falls. The walkway is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There is no admission, however, visitors are encouraged to give monetary donations to help support the event and local nonprofits.

Also, one of the other favorite features at the Walkway of Lights is Ms Lollipop’s Santa Land adjacent to the lighting display in Lakeside Park. Santa and Mrs. Claus make an appearance every Friday and Saturday night through the last day of the year. The public can take free photos and share their Christmas wish list.

The Winter Ice Skating Rink is open through Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting. The venue is located at Harmony Park in downtown Marble Falls. Ice skating is $10 in advance and $12 for an hour on the rink. Skate rentals are included in the price of admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance at VisitMarble-Falls.org/Christmas. For questions, call the city of Marble Falls Parks and Recreation Department at 830-798-6250.

Granite Shoals

Christmas by the Highway in Granite Shoals features more than 100 displays that light up the night in their city. The free walkway tour display opens at 6 p.m. every night and goes through 10 p.m. at the intersection of Ranch to Market Road 1431 and Phillips Ranch Road/H.A. Barnett Drive. The last night of the display is Jan. 1.

Burnet

Burnet Trail of Lights will go through Jan. 1. Starting on the east end of Wallace Riddell Park, thousands of lights create holiday sculptures, including a picture-perfect lighted tunnel, ready

made for selfies and group photos. On Main and Washington streets, the Burnet County Courthouse features both static and moving displays. Also, visitors can take in the majesty of a large decorated Christmas tree on the east entrance of the courthouse. Next on the trail, visitors take Jackson Street to Hamilton Creek Park where thousands of lights reflect off Hamilton Creek. It’s possible to walk (which allows for closer views) or drive by the Burnet Trail of Lights. Visitors can park in the square and stroll from downtown to Hamilton Creek Park before or after visiting Wallace Riddell Park.

Johnson City

Visit PEC’s Head- quarters in Johnson City and take a stroll under the oak trees decorated with more than 1.3 million sparkling lights. PEC’s holiday lights are turned on at 6 p.m. and run until midnight daily through Jan. 8, as part of Johnson City’s Lights Spectacular. The event is free and open to the public. The display is located at the PEC Headquarters, 201 S. Avenue F in Johnson City. The Blanco County Courthouse square, 101 E. Pecan Drive, a few blocks away also lights up the night.
