AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides in-person and virtual tax assis- tance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income.
Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide and are trained and IRS-cer- tified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.
Free tax return prepa- ration and electronic filing will be offered at:
• Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Ave D in Marble Falls Thursdays, 9 a.m. -- 1 p.m. Feb. 1 through April 11;
• Highland Lakes Senior Center, 351 W.
Chamberlain St. in King- sland Wednesdays, 9 a.m.
-- 1 p.m. Feb. 7 through April 10.
Reed Building, 402 East Jackson Street in Burnet Mondays, 9 a.m.
– 1 p.m. Feb. 5 through April 15; In addition to all tax documents, such as W-2 and 1099 forms, persons who want assistance must bring a social security card for each person on the return and a driver’s license or other photo identification card.
A copy of last year’s tax return is useful.
