Back to School Blast preps students with free supplies

From shoes and socks to backpack and school supplies, volunteers successfully coordinated the Back to School Blast for young students preparing for the 2023-24 school year. The event was held on Aug. 5 at Marble Falls Middle School.

Highland Lakes Crisis Network assisted with food and snacks for attendees.

Vendors included Phoenix Center, Girl Scouts, HEB, Lone Star Circle of Care and Workforce Solutions.

A vision screening was made available by Kingsland Lions Club and the Spicewood and Highland Lakes Lions Clubs.

Meet the Mustangs

Coming up next for athletes returning to school soon, Meet the Mustangs event is Thursday, Aug. 10. First, a Freshman Stampede is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meet the Mustangs main event starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Marble Falls High School Commons.
