Church seeks singers for gospel choir

St. Frederick Baptist Church leaders are organizing a community choir and is inviting the public to lift spirits with their voices while raising money for a good cause.

Rehearsals will be held at the church 301 Avenue N at Fourth Street in Marble Falls, at 5 p.m. starting Saturday, June 4.

Participants will meet every other Saturday until August, when practices will become weekly until the Sept. 24 performance in Johnson Park, 230 Avenue J in Marble Falls.

The choir is scheduled to perform during a community worship and fundraiser, dubbed A Celebration of Cultural Diversity, to accept donations for the church’s black history museum project.

The church has invited choir participants from area congregations to participate.
