With the clock ticking, Granite Shoals officials hired a consultant to direct a plan aimed at replacing the platform used by the city’s water meters before the technology becomes obsolete.
The city’s current meter reading software – installed in 2015 – utilizes 3G technology to transmit output wirelessly. City administration received an email about the equipment on Sept. 10.
