  • Shelly “The Fireworks Lady” opened a stand June 24 in the 5200 block of U.S. 281 north in Marble Falls. In anticipation of Independent Day celebrations, the stands are open throughout Burnet and Llano counties primarily from 10 a.m. to midnight each day through 11:59 p.m. July 4.

The Granite Shoals City Council voted to expand entertainment opportunities in the city limits by allowing fireworks during certain dates and times and extending the hours at Quarry Park. Citizens will now be able to enjoy fireworks at home in recognition of Independence Day on July 4 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 5 and on December 31 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. Jan. 1 in celebration of New Year’s Day. …
