Lost military ID tags returned after 65 years

Sunrise Beach resident Mark Schiffman was treated to a Memorial Day surprise this year involving a remnant of his late father’s service in the U.S. Coast Guard. Schiffman received a message May 30 from a stranger on social media from Cape May, New Jersey claiming to have discovered military ID tags belonging to Sy Schiffman on a beach. “He probably learned to sail during the time he was in Cape…
