From backpacks and pencils to shoes and socks, getting youngsters ready for the first day of school will be made easier in 2022 with the Back to School Blast.

Back to School Blast is held each year at Marble Falls Middle School, 1511 Pony Dr.

The event is from 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Aug. 6.

Organizers are also giving the community a chance to sponsor a child.

For $30 participants can help buy a backpack and school supplies for students.

Officials are asking folks to go online to find out more at https://b2sb.info.

Incoming students will receive free backpacks, school supplies, shoes, socks and more.

The Back to School Blast is open to any pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade student regardless of the school district he or she attends.

Last year, the group distributed 1,500 backpacks and school supply grade-level boxes as well as hundreds of pairs of shoes.
