Marble Falls City Council members approved an ordinance Feb. 23 to install the new speed limit signs on US 281. A Texas Department of Transportation speed study, requested by the city of Marble Falls, resulted in a recommendation to reduce the speed limit from just north of Mission Hills Drive to just south of Nature Heights Drive (pictured here) from 50 to 45 mph. Another area to be lowered is 12th Street to just north of Mission Hills Drive to be lowered from 40 to 35 mph.
