Wind poses challenge in blaze which destroys old ranch house

A fire, fueled by dry conditions, ripped through an older home on a ranch in Marble Falls recently, in which state fire officials are trying to determine the cause. Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department was the lead agency on the blaze which occurred around 10 a.m. on Feb. 16 on a property, 2000 Colt Circle, also known as the Shifflet Ranch.
