Georgia Rae West-Turner was born in Johnson City, Texas on July 27, 1929 to Alvie and Mary Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Husbands Harry (Pete) West and Lamar Turner, her son Lynn West, her sister Loranine Kennedy, and her brother Gerald Kennedy.
She has two daughters, Janet Smallwood of Leander, Texas and Janie and James Prew of Burnet, Texas; five grandchildren, Bridget and Alan Flint of Llano, Texas, James and Kristy Smallwood of Leander, Texas, Rhonda and Bob Gilde of Spicewood, Texas, Jeanie Lawry of Burnet Texas, and Tasha Rhoades of Cresson, Texas; as well as 11 great grandchildren.
Georgia was a very caring and hard working woman who always had more energy than us, she also loved to travel and took us with her when we could. She could grow anything and loved flowers. She was one of the first employees to work at Horseshoe Bay Resort and continued for 27 years.
She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.
Visitation was held Monday, December 7, followed by the funeral service in the chapel of Clements Wilcox Funeral Home. Graveside service followed at the Blanco Cemetery.
