Coming off a dominant 35-13 win over Veterans Memorial in San Antonio, the Marble Falls Mustangs now seek to do what no team has done this season: send Alamo Heights home with a loss.
The Mustangs have made it to the Regional Semifinal round for the first time in more than 20 years behind a powerful run game and a shut down defense.
In the Bi-District round, the Mustangs held off Brenham in double overtime 27-21. It marked the second straight season that the boys in purple and gold defeated the Cubs on their home field.
The Mustangs scored three early touchdowns on the Patriots of Veterans Memorial of Mission in the Area game to advance to the third round.
The Patriots defeated Edcouch-Elsa in the first round 53-7 and took care of Austin McCallum in the Area round 55-28.
The game will be played on Friday, Nov. 26 at Tiger Stadium, 940 US 290 in Dripping Springs. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
