Parents Elise Edmondson and Kal Katzer Jr. welcomed a new bundle of joy in 2022, announced as the first baby of the new year, according to Baylor Scott & White – Marble Falls. Personnel from Marble Falls Fire Rescue received their coronavirus vaccinations Dec. 29 in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. As part of a tiered distribution process, the Moderna vaccine was shipped first to hospitals and clinics, free-standing emergency rooms, EMS providers, pharmacies and health departments.

Burnet County fatality total hits 11

Burnet County logged its 11th COVID-19-related fatality this week after a 64-yearold Horseshoe Bay man died at Baylor Scott and White Marble Falls Wednesday, July 29. The number of fatalities reported in Burnet County had climbed from six prior to this week to 10 on Monday, July 27, after the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) changed how it tabulates fatalities to include information from death certificates.
