As the engineering of a new city wastewater plant takes shape, Marble Falls city officials want to determine what potential reclamation options could factor into the design, including treated wastewater (effluent) for discharge and recapture in wells or possibly even converting it into drinking water.
The city has obtained grant money as well as increase water/wastewater rates and expects to issue bonds to fund the bulk of a project to be relocated and doubled in capacity on land purchased adjacent to the back of the Walmart on U.S. 281.
