Two of five candidates are heading for a runoff in the precinct 3 Burnet County commissioner race, according to election results for the GOP primary.
Just before midnight, preliminary final results for the March 5 primary election were made viewable on the Burnet County Elections Office website, burnetcountyelections.com.
Results showed that Chad Collier (590 votes, 31.7%) and Homer Will (522 votes, 28.05%) were the top two vote-getters.
Cord Woerner was third, receiving 482 (25.90%) votes.
A candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote to win the party’s nomination. Once the figures are finalized, Collier and Will are expected to campaign again for a runoff.
Rounding out the rest of the candidate figures, Joe Rosser received 156 (8.38%) votes, while Caleb Carrasco received 111 (5.96%) votes.
Precinct three includes a swath of Burnet County which includes Bertram and part of Marble Falls.
