Cottonwood Shores residents fired up a near-record number of nominations for the Citizen of the Year honor Mar. 17, submitting nine names for the honor.
Two of the nine nominees - Shawn Scarborough and Police Chief Johnny Liendo – were declared ineligible because they don’t live within the city limits.
