County details vaccine, testing locations

Burnet County residents have several opportunities to either get tested for COVID-19 or to receive a COVID-19 vaccine this month and next, the Texas Department of State Health Services and Burnet County Emergency Management recently announced.

• First United Methodist Church, 1101 Bluebonnet, Marble Falls, will host a vaccine clinic for ages 12 and up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, and Monday, Aug. 30.

• Grace United Methodist Church, 4007 Valley View, Granite Shoals, will provide vaccines and testing to all individuals ages 12 and up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Satuday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 28

• Iglesia Conexiones and the Highland Lakes Crisis Network, 1007 Broadway, Marble Falls, will host testing only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, from Aug. 17 through Aug. 31, and Thursdays, from Aug. 19 through Sept. 2.

• The Burnet Community Center, 401 E. Jackson St., Burnet, is the site for a vaccine-only clinic from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, for ages 12 and up.

• The City of Burnet and Ascension Seton Highland Lakes will be hosting a free COVID vaccine clinic for individuals 18 years and older on Friday, Aug. 27 at the Burnet Community Center, 401 E. Other testing and vaccination locations (these may charge a fee and/or require pre-registration) include Atkins Pharmacy, CVS, Walgreens, HEB, Walmart (during regular business hours) and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center (vaccination only, every Thursday).
