Magistrate resigns, officials pick replacement

Burnet County has a new magistrate after Tamara Tinney was sworn in to the position on Monday, May 17. “We’re excited that Tamara Tinney is taking over that position,” said Burnet County Judge James Oakley. “She has four years experience in that office and she came highly receommended by the JPs (justices of the peace) to move into that role.
