The Marble Falls Public Library has launched a program called announce Beanstack. The easy-to-use computer application can be used by adults to keep track of what books you are reading, time spent reading, and more.

Kids will be using Beanstack to join in our Summer Reading Program (June 1st - July 31st).

“They can earn fun badges through the app which encourages them to keep reading, and logs their reading time,” library officials stated. “Summer Reading allows kids to explore new stories, keep their knowledge and skill levels sharp, and have a chance to win prizes.”

Program coordinators added that studies show that reading over the summer is critical for helping children retain what they learnt the previous school year, and helps keep them from falling behind their classmates.
