Meadowlakes voters approve $7.5 million in debt for amenity upgrades

  • Meadowlakes voters passed Proposition A, allowing for the municipality to buy certificates of obligation (COs) totaling $7.5 million, according to preliminary cumulative results of the Nov. 7 election.  The funds will be used to renovate the city-owned golf course, improve the city-owned utility system and garner taxes and surplus revenue from the city water and sanitary system sewer system to lower outstanding debt.
