For Vonnie Riddell Fox, seeing her grandfather William H. Riddell’s grave marker brings back a flood of family history.
“He was five years old when he came into Galveston from Scotland … with his mother and father,” she said of her grandfather. “They bought wagon teams and came all the way into Austin, close to the river.
“Then they came into Marble Falls and had homes here.”
