Heavy traffic delays are expected leading up to, during, and after the eclipse. Highways and resi - dential feeder roads will be impacted.

Multiple officers have been assigned to traffic control duties to deal with increased traffic.

No planned road clo - sures have been approved by the city of Marble Falls for April 8.

Officers will focus on keeping roadways and in - tersections passable. Disabled or stranded vehicles will be removed from the roadway as soon as possible. Wrecker services will be on standby for assistance.

Traffic Laws

Traffic laws will be enforced to ensure public safety. Speed is not likely to be a major factor on the day of the event, due to the anticipated traffic congestion.

Residents that need to go about their daily rou - tine should prepare for significant delays. They should plan ahead by completing er -

rands or scheduling ap -

pointments early, prefera - bly before April 5. Many local service providers have not been scheduling appointments for April 8 and some busi - nesses may be closed or have limited hours on the day of the eclipse. It will also be import - ant for those who must be on the roads to allow ex - tra travel time on the day of the event. Residents should trav -

el with blankets, medi - cines, and other necessary supplies with them.

Officers will be sta - tioned on the Lake Mar - ble Falls Bridge to ensure that all northbound and southbound traffic lanes remain passable and will assist any responding emergency vehicles at - tempting to cross. No parking on the bridge will be permitted before, during, or after the eclipse.
