Last week, Burnet County Judge James Oakley filed a proposed county budget that includes more than $34.8 million in overall expenditures for fiscal year 2022. At their next court meeting on Aug. 10, commissioners will set the proposed tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year and schedule a public hearing date on the proposed budget for Aug. 24.
