An incumbent constable for Burnet County precinct 2 appears to have won the GOP primary, according to March 5 preliminary election results from Burnet County Elections.
Garry Adams received 53.34% of the vote, 1,111 votes, compared to Donald Brian Knowles tally of 972 votes or 46.66%.
Knowles’ campaign emphasized leadership, community service and desire to make the office more visible, while Adams reinforced with voters his stability, efficiency and long-term experience.

No Democrats filed for the office, so Adams is the presumptive winner following the November general election.
