Divers have recovered the body of man June 3 who disappeared into the water and didn't resurface at a residence on Lake LBJ, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife.

“At approximately 5 p.m. (Thursday, June 3), a 33-year old male from Colorado was at a home on Lake LBJ in the Horseshoe Bay area and went down a water slide that emptied into Lake LBJ,” the TPWD release stated. “The victim did not resurface from the water after he went down the slide.”

A side-scan sonar located the man's body in approximately 15-feet of water in about an hour, and divers were able to recover him shortly thereafter, according to TPWD Capt. Cody Hatfield.

Investigators reported that he was with a group of people at the residence located in Llano County, and investigators are compiling interviews and clues from the scene to try to determine what happened.

“It's going to depend on the autopsy results,” Hatfield said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Llano County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Judge Bebe Rocha.

Autopsy results are pending. The release of his name is pending notification of next of kin.
