Beverly Blagg, 67, passed away on June 6, 2020. Born on July 14, 1952, Beverly spent her early childhood in Houston, then moved to Channelview to begin school. The family moved to Bertram in 1967, branding their new home, the Flying X Ranch.

Beverly graduated from Bertram High School in 1970. She attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, earning her BS in Agricultural Studies in 1974. Shortly afterwards, the Blagg family relocated to Spicewood, Texas and established the Flying X River Ranch along the shores of Lake Travis.

Beverly was an enthusiastic horsewoman and a life-long animal lover. She enjoyed the tranquility and gentle pace of country life at the Flying X River Ranch. She had a deep affection for the wild, natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country and was actively involved in several conservation efforts over the years.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Eloise and Leon Blagg, formerly of Spicewood, Texas. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanene Trout, Vicki Bell, her brother Harvey Cochran, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Spicewood Community Center, 7901 County Rd 404, Spicewood. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made in Beverly’s honor to the Hill Country Humane Society, 512-793- 5463, HillCountryHS@gmail.com.
