Elizabeth Jane Henry

Elizabeth Jane Henry passed away on July 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was born in Smithwick, Texas on May 14, 1934 to W.L. and Julia Jackson. Growing up in a big family, Jane had 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Jane married George H. Henry on August 28, 1953 and moved to Austin, Texas Together, George and Jane had 2 daughters, Raena and Tracy.

After more than 30 years as an insurance agent, Jane and George retired, and then moved to Liberty Hill, Texas. During her retirement, Jane enjoyed being a caregiver and a loving Nana.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Alta Shafer, Mary Henry, and Hopper Bible. As well as her brothers, Socks, Jack and Charlie Jackson, and her son-in-law, Gene Henry.

Jane is survived by her husband of 70 years, George Henry. Her 2 daughters, Raene Henry (Chuck Statler) of Leander, and Tracy (Allan) Floyd of Bertram. Her Grandchildren, Dalton Henry, Grayson (Olivia) Floyd, Waylon (Jayla) Henry and Charlsie Floyd. Jane is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Ox Floyd, Ras Floyd and River Henry. As well as, 1 sister, Nila (Joe) Alderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jane was a member of Smithwick Church of Christ and Liberty Hill Church of Christ.

A graveside service for Jane will be held on Friday July 28th at 10:00am at the Smithwick Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Burnet.
