Lloyd “Jr.” Booe died on Jan. 6, 2024 after losing a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 64 years old.

His soul left his body peacefully as he passed away that morning, surrounded by loved ones.

Jr. was born in Seminole, Texas on July 30, 1959.

Jr. and his family moved to this area from West Texas in 1972. Shortly after settling down here, when Jr. was only 17, his father passed away. This led him to buy the home in Granite Shoals that he lived in for 47 years. He attended his freshman year at Marble Falls High School.

Jr. started his construction career working at the lumber yard in Marble Falls when he was 18. He worked for Jerry Newton for a few years before starting his own concrete construction business in his early 20’s.

Thankfully, due to his years of hard work and working with people like the Oustads, Tom Slavin and Troy Delz, he was able to maintain a successful business, Booe Concrete Construction, until he passed. Now his concrete legacy will continue through his son, Brodie.

In his free time he enjoyed working on his 1969 Pontiac Firebird, his 2010 Camaro or whatever hot rod he had at the time.

He also enjoyed collecting Zippos, coins, arrowheads and knives. He was an incredible cook, had a great sense of humor and always smelled good.

Aside from being well known for his hot rods, and concrete work, he was also known for tipping with his rare $2 bills.

Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Wayne Booe Sr. He is survived by his mother, Claudia Floyd; his son, Brodie Booe; daughter, Haley Booe; and the mother of his children, Linda Lee; as well as his siblings, Sherrell Booe, Shaun Boatwright and their children/spouses, Carrie, Cork, Lina, Kaci and numerous other loved ones..

A Memorial Service is scheduled on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (for family) with a public Celebration of Life for friends and loved ones, starting at 7 p.m. until closing at Pardners Night Club, 15615 Hwy. 29 in Buchanan Dam.

His cremains were provided to the family by Highland Lakes Cremation Center.

In lieu of flowers, mail contributions on behalf of the Booe Family to Haley Booe, 219 Hill Dr. Granite Shoals, Texas 78654.
