November 9, 1931 — February 28, 2024 

Nick Hatcher passed away in his home in Kingsland, Texas at the age of 93 from natural causes. He served in the US Navy as an Airman and the US Army Reserve as a Specialist.

After spending some time in Germany, he completed a degree in Physics and worked for The National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Langley, Virginia as a guidance systems designer.

He moved to Texas in 1967 and worked as an aerospace engineer at the Johnson Space Center in Houston where he was recognized for his many contributions to the US Space Program. He retired from Civil Service in 1983 and moved to North Carolina and Colorado until returning to Texas in 1995. He enjoyed flying, boating, cars, electronics, nature, poetry and reading. He will be missed by his many friends in Texas and his surviving family in Georgia.
