Sherry Verrengia Weisinger, 60, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and respected educator, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 21, 2023, in Burnet, Texas. Born in Edgewater, New Jersey on July 7, 1963, to Tony and Shirley Verrengia, Sherry’s life was marked by her profound love for her family and her enduring commitment to education.

Sherry devoted her life to the field of education, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. Sherry earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education on May 9th, 2009, a testament to her unwavering dedication to enhancing her skills and knowledge in order to better serve her students. Throughout her career, she exhibited a rare blend of compassion and expertise, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all. Sherry’s im-pact extended far beyond the classroom, as she touched the hearts of students, colleagues, and parents alike.

Sherry discovered a source of peace and fulfillment in tending to her garden, a patch of earth she nurtured with care. The daily rhythm of growth reflected her deep appreciation for the simple wonders of the natural world. Additionally, the soothing sound of ocean waves held a special place in Sherry’s heart. Whether strolling along the sandy shores or simply listening to the rhythmic tide, the beach was a cherished retreat where she found tranquility and peace.

Sherry is survived by her husband Murray Weisinger, sons Dustin, Caleb, Keenan, Jordan and Tyler, brother Tony Verrengia, sister Terry Davis, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Tony and Shirley Verrengia.

A memorial service for Sherry will be held at a later date. Friends and family are invited to attend to celebrate her life and legacy. More information is forthcoming.
