On Friday, the varsity Burnet Lady Bulldogs took the short trip to Marble Falls and left Max Copeland Gym with a three-game sweep.

Touted as the “Battle of Burnet County,” the stakes tend to be higher for the two teams due to the close proximity of the schools which in year’s past had not been in the same district due to attendance numbers. Now that the teams are, “the girls in green left things nice and tidy at Max Copeland gym,” according to Bulletin sports writer Wayne Craig (See more photos in the Wednesday, Oct. 4 issue).

The varsity Lady Dawgs took game one 25-19 followed by a second set win, 25-16, and a third, 25-12. Despite the loss, the Lady Mustangs appeared to play hard and demonstrate good form.
