As a Democrat primary runoff election comes to a close in Burnet County, election officials have fielded fears about potential exposure to the coronavirus as citizens exercise their right to vote. "It's been a big, big year especially since the pandemic," Burnet County Elections Administrator Doug Ferguson said.

Burnet County voters could cast their ballots at any polling location in the county if a change is approved in time for the November 2020 general election. Elections Administrator Doug Ferguson announced a public meeting on enrolling in the countywide polling location program during the regular commissioners court at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 14.
