More than 300 attended the Annual Chuck Wagon Chow Down Dinner and Auction last month. The Highland Lakes Service League sponsored the fundraising event Jan.

The Highland Lakes Service League announced their 2021 grant recipients in a recent press release. The league has a goal of “contributing to the betterment of the community through volunteerism, providing financial support of non-profit organizations and monetary assistance to individuals and families in need.” Over the last five years HLSL has contributed over $100,000 to charitable organizations.

When ladies fromm the Highland Lakes area tee off on Saturday, April 24 at Hidden Falls Golf Club in Meadowlakes, they will be celebrating something more than a fun day on the links with friends. The Annual Ladies Charity Golf Tournament put on by the Highland Lakes Service League (HLSL) will celebrate 26 years of the event with proceeds used to fund grants to local non-profit organizations and scholarships for adult women.

The Highland Lakes Service League wants to remind all charitable 501(c)(3) organizations in Llano and Burnet Counties that applications are being accepted as of June 20 for HLSL’s Community Grants Program now through Aug. 31.
