The Marble Falls High School boys soccer team dropped their season opener against Bastrop on Tuesday night by a score of 4-3. The Marble Falls Mustangs could not punch the ball into the endzone in the final seconds in Friday’s 20-13 loss to Austin McCallum at Mustang Stadium. Even though the Mustangs (4-2, 1-1) had the opportunity, Head Coach Brian Herman knows the game came down to more than just the final play.

The Marble Falls Mustangs football team cruised to their first district win on Thursday, Sept. 23 over Austin Travis 42-8 at Burger Stadium. The Mustangs (4-1, 1-0) scored on four of their five drives in the first half to open a safe 28-8 lead heading into the break. Travis showed improvement over last year’s 55-0 loss to Marble Falls, especially in the running game.

The Marble Falls High School soccer team missed the playoffs this season, but they gave all district teams a run for their money in several close games. “We had one of the craziest years you can have,” Mustangs Head Coach Rick Hoover said.

Marble Falls High School boys basketball Head Coach Travis Crain focused on beginnings rather than endings at his first team awards ceremony since accepting the job last season. Any potential awards ceremony that would have occurred after the 2019-2020 season was canceled due to the students never returning from spring break.
