Tax assessor-collector candidates to meet in runoff

A runoff is brewing in a Burnet County Republican party primary race, according to preliminary final results from the elections office. 

A three-way race for Burnet County tax assessor-collector failed to produce a clear winner in the March 5 primary election.
Deanne Fisher and Susan Allen received the most votes of three candidates, but neither secured more than 50% of the vote to be deemed the party nominee.
Results showed that Fisher received 3,699 votes, 44.60%, to Allen’s 3,033 votes, 36.57%. Adrienne Field received 1,562 votes, 18.83%. 
Fisher works as a chief deputy in the Burnet County Treasurer’s Office. Allen works as a chief deputy in the Burnet County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office.
