Granite Shoals paves way for street repairs and park project
Granite Shoals City Council members on Tuesday, July 23, moved forward on paving projects and set parameters for how particular land sale funds could be spent. Councilors approved a contract for $720,034 to pave King Circle, Hill Way and the fire department parking lot and gave their OK to a budget amendment to pay for the work.

Granite Shoals stops Zooming meetings
In a unanimous vote Tuesday, Granite Shoals city council members quashed any future citizen off-premises participation in city council meetings by ending their Zoom participation. Citizens will still be able to watch the council livestream meetings but won’t be able to comment or ask questions unless they attend the meeting in person.

Marble Falls permits ‘quadplex’ project
Marble Falls City Council approved a conditional use permit July 16 that would clear a dilapidated property and expand housing options for low-income residents. The council action, during its regular meeting, allows a contractor to build 12 apartments separated over three lots into two-story “quadplexes” (four apartments per each lot, paired atop one another within three stand-alone units) within the Marble Falls Original Township Downtown Residential District, near the Avenue T and Seventh Street southeast corner.
