Council eyes new park construction
Marble Falls City Council plans to discuss several items during its upcoming meeting. Following its regular agenda, Director of Parks and Recreation Lacey Dingham plans to lead a discussion related to the possible award of more than $699,000 to Wellcraft Builders for construction of several features near Mormon Mill Road, Park Ridge Drive and Park View Drive.

Email dump calls into question motive of payroll probe
A public information request by a citizen has produced dozens of emails raising questions about a forensic accounting review of the Burnet County Sheriff's Office alleged payroll practices. As questions persist, the 33rd/424th Judicial District Attorney's Office has fast-tracked its own independent investigation into those payroll practices with a new focus on “whistleblowers” in that probe.
