Water weed war tied to resident rebates
The Lower Colorado River Authority on Tuesday announced the 2025 schedule for property owners planning to treat nuisance aquatic vegetation on Inks Lake, Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls. LCRA also has extended a rebate program offering up to 50% of the project cost, to a maximum of $7,500 per applicant, for municipalities, counties and homeowners/property owners associations that manage invasive aquatic vegetation on Inks Lake, Lake LBJ or Lake Marble Falls in 2025. 03/04/2025 02:33 AM

Texas leads nation in top-tier universities
A new report from the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching indicates 16 universities in Texas have reached Tier 1 designation, the most coveted level. That means the state is home to more such institutions than any other state. n the report, California has 14 and New York 12 top-tier universities.
