CPR device will strengthen Cassie response

LCRA awards $19K grant to Sunrise Beach VFD
The Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department soon will construct a medevac emergency landing pad at Sandy Park, thanks to a $19,857 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority. The Community Development Partnership Program grant, along with $4,965 in matching funds from the department, will facilitate construction of a much-needed landing pad for medevac helicopters to land and pick up patients in Sunrise Beach Village.

Meadowlakes City staff to finalize community center plans
City of Meadowlakes The Meadowlakes City staff, architects, and engineers will meet this coming week to go over 90% plans for the Meadowlakes Community Center in order to finalize changes and accurately estimate costs before continuing on to the bidding process. A ceremony honoring Jose “Trini” Solorzano will take place on Wednesday, May 21st at 5pm near the monument at the #1 tee area.

First Wrigley Field visit revives baseball passion
Recently, I crossed another one off my bucket list. I visited Wrigley Field in Chicago, hallowed ground encased inside a veritable major league baseball palace. Wrigley opened in 1914, when Woodrow Wilson was President of the United States. It is located at 1060 Addison Avenue, near the Chicago Transit Authority elevated train station, the same address used fraudulently by two mischievous musicians in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers, featuring Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi.

You may follow these appeal procedures if you have a concern about: • the market or appraised value of your property; • the unequal value of your property compared with other properties; • the inclusion of your property on the appraisal records, • any exemptions that may apply to you; • the qualification for an agricultural or timber appraisal; • the taxing units taxing your property; • the property ownership; • the change of use of land receiving special appraisal; • failure of the chief appraiser or appraisal review board (ARB) to send a required notice; or • Circuit breaker, or • any action taken by the chief appraiser, county appraisal district (CAD) or appraisal review board (ARB) that applies to and adversely affects you.
