The Office of Public Interest Counsel (OPIC) released a response March 28 to a state legislator’s call to overturn the permit of a proposed rock crushing operation in Burnet County. Local authorities welcome tips about suspected criminal operations in the area, following a recent arrest on a cockfighting charge. On March 16 authorities nabbed an illegal alien suspect from Mexico in northern Burnet County with cockfighting. 04/01/2025 03:50 AM
