Girls soccer team falls short against Lady Hawks
The Marble Falls High School girls soccer team lost to Fischer Canyon Lake 4-1 March 11 in District 26-4A play. The outcome means that Fredericksburg (9-6-- 3, 3-5-1) finishes fourth in the district standings to advance to the Class 4A playoffs behind district champion Wimberley (18-1-2, 7-0-2), San Antonio Davenport (15-2-1, 7-2) and Canyon Lake (12-5-3, 5-1-3).

Businesses find niche in Marble Falls
“It’s a blessing and a curse in that we don’t have an abundance of office space available, and when there is office space it, it gets snatched up fairly quickly,” Business Development Coordinator Midge Dockery of Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation. “When a commercial property that is considered office space has availability, the EDC likes to know when it’s available because we want to assist our small businesses in finding locations to occupy.”

Llano County regains hospital control
After two failed associations with health systems Llano County is going back to managing the community hospital on its own. Llano County commissioners heard March 10 that details of an agreement were being finalized with MidCoast Health Systems of El Campo which had been controlling the hospital.

Marble Falls ISD is excited to announce the appointment of Heather Metzgar as the new principal of Spicewood Elementary School and Kara Gasaway as the principal of Marble Falls Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. Comptroller Glenn Hegar named Texas A&M chancellor
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents named Comptroller Glenn Hegar as the lone finalist to be the system’s next chancellor.
