Rotary presents grant to Wesley Respite Center
Marble Falls Rotary Club presented the Wesley Respite Center a generous grant to the director, Allie Bennett, on behalf of the center. The theme for the day was "fishing." The vol unteers and participants fished for sea creatures with a fishing pole and line with a magnet on the end.

James Nelson Morgan
August 22, 1941 —July 16, 2024 James Nelson Morgan passed away on July 16, 2024, in Kingsland, Texas at the age of 82. He was a talented engineer and athlete who believed physics was a gateway to understanding the universe, and he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at home, on the golf course, or in the pool hall.

Expert will explain marvels of bird migration

Safe Streets 4 All initiative will help keep kids safe
The Cottonwood Shores City Council voted recently to hire a grant administration to assist our city in securing funds through the National Roadway Safety Strategy for development of a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and ultimately funding to improve and widen streets in Cottonwood Shores. I strongly support this initiative.

Timing of pruning is crucial to prevent oak wilt
This summer’s unusually wet weather had created a prime environment for the oak wilt fungus to thrive, posing a significant threat to our local trees. However, now that the weather has shifted to dry and hot, we can proceed with the general timing of oak wilt prevention.
