Growth spurt!
The Highlander and the Burnet Bulletin are growing thanks to the support of the community. As a result, Highland Lakes Publishing is looking to fill two positions in 2022 - a Sports Editor and a Production Designer.
The Highlander newspaper, 905 Third St. in Marble Falls, is a semi-weekly publication (Tuesdays and Fridays) which features special sections including an annual sports tab, Fall Hunters Guide and end-of-year graduation tab. The Bulletin, 220 S. Main, publishes once a week on Wednesdays.
The Highlander sports editor duties include: Covering Marble Falls ISD sports (sports page pagination), Faith Academy (TAPPS) football & basketball and twice-monthly Marble Falls ISD school board meetings.
Next, the company is looking for a full-time production designer to handle the layout/pagination of the newspapers utilizing InDesign.
