Marble Falls police served two child sex abuse warrants on a suspect in jail on April 23, after two girls under the age of 16 reported being sexually abused.

Gabriel Rodriguez, 18, of Marble Falls is charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count sexual assault of a child.

“Both were outcries which came in different ways – one came in through Llano ISD, the 15-year-old victim. The 13-year-old girl was an outcry through a doctor at the ER,” Marble Falls Police Sgt. Barry Greer said.

The older teen incident was reported in February with the other case unfolding in April.

“One girl was picked up from Llano taken to Marble Falls. The other was taken in Marble Falls to (a neighborhood in Marble Falls),” Greer said. “He took the first one to a motel. The second one was assaulted in a vehicle.”

Both underwent forensic interviews through the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center.

Rodriguez had been in custody since April 7 following a patrol stop on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt and no driver’s license.

As of April 26, Rodriguez remained in jail on surety bonds totaling $150,000 on the sex abuse charges alone.

“One of these sexual assaults was in a neighborhood in the daytime,” Greer said. “It’s important that if you see something, say something.

“I’m concerned that there are more victims out there,” he added. “I would like them to come forward, speak to me, talk to their parent, talk to their counselor at school – just reach out to somebody so they can get some help.”
